FROM THE CUTTING BOARD

Hello

There is an old proverb that says "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime." I think the same holds true for cooking and is the philosophy in which my beliefs, on the process have been formed. I believe that through cooking together and eating together a common thread is formed and unites people together. I have fond memories of the magnificent meals that my grandmother made. She would make enough to feed the entire neighborhood. I never understood why she did it until now. My grandmother and grandfather knew everybody in their neighborhood, they played cards together, laughed together, cried together and most of all ate together.

Today we live in a very fast paced world and it seems that besides not knowing our neighbors we don't even know our own families, it seems that we have lost the ability to relate to the people that are supposed to be the most important people in our lives. Take a moment to recognize the people that mean the most to you, say words like I love you, and thank you. Make time to sit down for a meal together, that you make together. Begin to enjoy the time you have together. Make memories.

I would like to extend a heart felt THANK YOU, to everybody that is supporting "Cooking For The Culinary Impaired." Without you, there would be no program.

I would also like to give a very special thank you to Kris and Webmaster Mike for believing in my Dreams and helping me bring them full throttle. Most importantly I would like to thank GOD for the daily blessing that are bestowed upon me on a daily basis. It is through him that all things are made.
